What is Click and Collect?

Piggly Wiggly offers an online ordering service partnership to provide easy, convenient, at home shopping for our customers. You can order groceries online - via our website or mobile app - and pick them up at store ready to collect and go.

Why is Click and Collect not available at my store?

Click and Collect is only available at select locations. We are working on adding this fantastic service at more locations. If your favorite Piggly Wiggly isn't listed please check back soon or inquire at the Service Desk.

Do I need an account on shopthepig.com to use this service?

Yes, to place an order you must have an account and sign in before shopping. To have an account on Shopthepig.com, you must have a rewards card.

Is there a fee to use the Click and Collect Service?

Fees vary from store location to store location. Please check with your local store to see if there is a fee.

Will your Click and Collect prices match your in-store and Weekly ad prices?

Yes, Piggly Wiggly does not mark up the prices of any products online. Please note, if the ad week changes between your order and pick-up times, your prices will change to reflect the cost of the chosen products at the time of pick-up.

Do I need to pay online?

You can choose how you want to pay, online or in-store.

  • If you pay online the groceries can be brought right to your car. Online payment methods are Debit/Credit card.
  • If you would like to pay by Cash, Check, EBT, eWic benefits or Piggly Wiggly Gift Card, please select the "In-Store" option as your payment method. You then would park as normal during your pick-up time, enter the store and proceed to the Service Desk to finalize your transaction.
  • Please note we cannot accept gift cards online at this time.

How do I fill my basket?

On the Navigation menu click the "shop" link. Using the search tool and icons on the page, search for the items you want. From there you can choose to place items in your cart by clicking the "ADD TO CART" button or to a shopping list by clicking the "ADD TO LIST" button.

How do I request different amounts on weighed items?

The shopping system only handles whole weights, to request smaller weights, such as 1.5 lbs. coleslaw from the deli, please order the item as normal to the closest whole pound(s) and then place those notes in the "Order Instructions" text box during checkout.

How far in advance can I submit my order?

Orders can be placed up to 7 days in advance.
Please note that if the ad changes between the day you place your order and your chosen pick-up time your receipt and total will reflect the current prices time of pick-up.

How soon can I pick-up my order?

In most cases orders can be picked-up in as little as 4 hours. When your order is ready you wil recieve an email. Please do not drive to the store if you have not recieved an "Order Complete" email, your order will NOT be ready. If you need a quicker time frame please contact your chosen location to see if they are able to accommodate your request.

Order Questions

May I use Coupons with my order?

Electronic Coupons will be applied at the time of checkout if you have selected them.
To use paper coupons you will need to select the pay "In-Store" option when checking out.

May I use my Pig Points to receive a discount on this week's items?

If you would like to use your Pig Points for one of the discounted items for the week please indicate so in the "Order Instructions", please include the item you would like the discount on. If you do not indicate which weekly item you would like to use your Pig Points on, the store will not be able to apply the discount.

Are all items sold in-store available to be purchased with Click and Collect?

We have as many items available for purchase as possible with the Click and Collect Service. Some specialty items such as

  • Books
  • Magazines
  • Floral Items
  • And some store specific items

May not be available for purchase.

Can I order Alcohol with Click and Collect?

  • Most, but not all locations, support alcohol purchases through the Click and Collect Service.
  • At the time of pick-up you are required to present a valid photo ID or you will not be able to purchase.

Can I change my order?

You may change your order up to 4 hours before your scheduled pick-up. If you need to make any changes within that 4 hour period please contact your store to see if they are able to accommodate your request.

What if an item I ordered is not available when the store picks out my order?

Substitutions are allowed by default, if you would like substitutions to not be allowed place check the box next to your desired item.

If our shoppers are not able to locate an item, they will substitute a similar item, or of the same brand the next size up, to provide you with the products you need.

If you have chosen not to allow substitutions, the items that are not available will be removed from your order and will not be charged for them.

How can I check the status of my order?

Click on your account profile and then "Order History." A list of current and previous orders will be displayed.

Will I be notified when my order is complete?

Once the order is ready, you will receive a confirmation that your order is on schedule for your chosen time.

How do I pick-up my groceries?

There will be two ways of collecting your order depending on your payment choice :

  • If you selected to pay online, when you get to the store call the number indicated on the email confirmation you were sent, let them know your name and that you are there to pick up your Click and Collect order. The store will bring out your order.
  • If you selected to pay "In-Store", please enter the store and head to the Service Desk. Let them know your name and you're there to pick-up your Click and Collect order. They will have someone get your order for you and ring up your final total.

What if I need to change my pick-up time to a later one after the 4 hour lock is in?

If you need to adjust your time window for pick-up due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact your store to make alternative arrangements for pick-up.

Can someone else pick-up my order for me?

Yes, please place the name of the individual picking up your order in the "Order Instructions" or contact the store and let them know you need to make pick-up arrangements. The individual will need to have a valid ID and the order number to pick-up your order. Any order including alcohol will need to provide ID to pick-up the order.

General Questions

If I pay online why is there a provisional hold on my account?

This hold is to account for any changes in your order due to bottle deposits or weighed items, as they will not have a defined cost until rung up at the register. The hold is 5% of your order total with a minimum of $5.00. Your card will be charged the final total at the time of pick-up.

Will I recieve a physical receipt with my Click and Collect order?

Yes, your receipt will be given to you at the time of pick-up.

What if I have a question on the price of an item I ordered?

Every effort has been made to ensure accurate pricing, but mistakes do happen. If you believe one or more of your items has been rung up at the incorrect price please contact the store you picked up your order from. They will be able to research your order and issue any refunds if applicable.

What if I have a problem with an item or I wish to return an item?

Please contact the store you ordered from to make arrangements for an exchange or refund.
Please plan to return the item to store unless otherwise instructed.

How will Produce items be selected?

Shoppers will select Produce items as if they were shopping for themselves. Please inspect your items and if there are any issues regarding the selection please contact the store to return or exchange any items.

Please add any size changes to the "Add Instructions" text box under your items description during checkout. Weighed items items will be chosen to be as close to your requested size as possible.

How will Meat items be selected?

Shoppers will select any meat items as if they were shopping for themselves. Please inspect your items and if there are any issues regarding the selection please contact the store to return or exchange any items.

Please add any size changes to the "Add Instructions" text box under your items description during checkout. Weighed items items will be chosen to be as close to your requested size as possible.

How will Deli items be selected?

Our Deli Staff will prepare any items you request.

Please add any size changes to the "Add Instructions" text box under your items description during checkout. .
Include any slicing requests, such as shaved, thin, or thick sliced in the "Add Instructions" section.
Please inspect your items and if there are any issues regarding the selection, please contact the store to return or exchange any items. Weighed items items will be chosen to be as close to your requested size as possible.
