Administrative Assistant


Summary of Position:
This an entry level position
The assistant is responsible for maintaining information in the Category Planning business systems that effectively facilitates merchandising, procurement, pricing and retail shelf space business processes. This individual will interact with both Procurement and the customer, providing support services with exemplary customer service.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with Merchandisers and Buyers on preparation of daily, weekly or quarterly category reports
  • Evaluate and issue vendor credits when and where appropriate
  • Gather special orders and obtain product for retail store requests
  • Facilitate weekly retail survey process
  • Enter planned promotional numbers determined by the Buyers for weekly ads
  • Enter approved vendor price changes
  • Contact suppliers for late or no appointment purchase orders
  • Special projects may be assigned

Minimum Requirements:
Education:High School Diploma

  • Experience in supermarket industry, along with business support experience
  • Must demonstrate superior knowledge of Excel
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
