Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Shift: 1st
Reports To: Supervisor

This position processes vendor invoices for franchised grocery stores.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and authorized approvals.
  2. Processing invoices and preparing checks for payments.
  3. Maintaining accounts payable reports and files.
  4. Reconciling vendor statements.
  5. Assisting accounting staff with periodic closing process.
  6. Responding to franchised stores’ accounts payable questions.
  7. Completing other projects as assigned by supervisor or controller.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Associate Degree in Accounting preferred.

Experience / Qualifications: : Must be 18 years of age.

Skills:

  1. Ten key calculators or data entry experience preferred but not required.
  2. Computer knowledge is essential.
  3. Ensures completeness and accuracy of work.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Ability to work independently in an efficient and timely manner in a variety of situations.
  6. Must work effectively in a team environment.
